The Silk Museum follows the journey of silk from cocoon to loom. It houses exhibitions from our collections exploring the properties of silk, design and education, Macclesfield's diverse textile industries, workers lives, Macclesfield silk during the war and historic machinery and looms  - as well as hosting artist residencies and special exhibitions.

Highlights of 2017 include our INHABIT Special Exhibition and The Story of Silk Study Day
