Here at Macclesfield Silk Museum it is our priority to ensure that all of our visitors have access to all buildings, events and exhibitions.
There is disability access through the Museum garden which is to the right of the main entrance. Inside the Museum, exhibitions are linked by a series of ramps and we have disabled toilets on both floors. The temporary exhibition gallery is accessibly via a lift situated in the Museum's second room.
The Mill has a lift to take visitors to the top floor but visitors are warned that the floor is uneven due to its age!
The Museum is arranged over two levels, with stair lifts between floors. There is a lift which can be used to access the Cinema and the Victorian Schoolroom.
