  • West Park Museum

    Situated in the beautiful West Park with gardens and children's play area is a purpose built museum housing the Egyptology collections of Marianne Brocklehurst. Also on display are items related to local history and fine art including the work of local artist Charles Tunnicliffe famous for illustrating Tarka the Otter and the Ladybird book series.

    Take a guided tour of Paradise Mill and step back in time to an early 20th century silk mill. See 26 restored Jacquard looms, hear about the silk industry and watch a weaving demonstration.
